Amar meye-r biye te Upahar ke diyechilam — and they made it absolutely magical. I had very specific ideas about the aiburo bhaat, the gaye holud décor, the phool sajja — nothing generic, everything had to feel authentically Bengali. They understood without me having to explain twice. The shankha-pola ceremony setup had me in tears. And the catering — we handed that over to Upahar as well, and what a decision that was. From luchi-kosha mangsho to Ilish dishes to the mishti counter, — guests were going back for third helpings. Even our relatives from Dhaka said the food reminded them of old Calcutta. Every relative kept asking who planned and cooked everything.

We brought Upahar in to handle our annual leadership summit — 180 senior managers from across India, two days, high stakes.
